Asset Management Conference Announces 2009 Agenda PDF Print E-mail

In these current economic times, companies are turning to enterprise asset management, asset visibility and lifecycle management solutions to improve to improve utilization, cut costs and boost productivity.

The third annual Asset Management Conference will take place Sept. 9-10, 2009, at the Hilton Orlando in Orlando, Fla. During this economic downturn, this conference provides timely information to help organizations improve asset utilization and reduce operational costs through improved business processes and strategic use of technology.

The Conference will provide an overview of the evolution of asset management best practices, and the applied use of the latest technologies. Attendees can take part in highly interactive sessions on how to improve asset utilization, increase operational efficiency, manage asset lifecycles, reduce cycle times, create supply chain visibility, calculate ROI, follow regulatory compliance, and establish IT asset management.

The Opening Keynote will be delivered by Robert J. McFarland, CPPM, ITT Communications Systems, where he will share how his company implemented a program to change the culture of controlling assets to a proactive program that managed company and customer assets. He will describe how once the tools were available and the costs clearly identified, a cooperative team effort improved overall performance resulting in maximum use of capital funding, improved customer service and significantly reducing costs!

This year's conference advisory board includes a number of experienced industry veterans and recognized asset management experts, including Tom Coyle, Mark IV Industries; Douglas Goetz, Defense Acquisition University; Robert Kaehler, AssetSmart; Robert J. McFarland, CPPM, ITT Communications Systems; Paul Nesbitt, NPMA; Jeffrey Polyak, Sunflower Systems; and Robert Leibrandt, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics.

The event will be co-located with the UID Forum for defense contractors and military program managers affected by the Unique Identification (UID) policy.
