The agenda for the third annual Asset Management Conference is now available at www.AssetConference.com. The event will take place Sept. 9-10, 2009, at the Hilton Orlando in Orlando, Fla. The annual conference is designed to help asset management professionals improve asset utilization and reduce operational costs through improved business process and strategic use of technology.
The conference will draw industry leaders and asset management experts from a variety of fields to provide a strategic view of the evolution of asset management best practices, and the applied use of the latest technologies. The intimate setting of the Conference will allow for one-on-one consultation with industry experts as well as networking with peers. Attendees will have hands-on access to technology solutions in the exhibits area.
The conference program will include presentations from asset management experts from a variety of fields, including manufacturing, defense & aerospace, healthcare and information technology. Attendees can take part in highly interactive sessions on how to improve asset utilization, increasing operational efficiency, deploying new technologies, asset lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, IT asset management and calculating a return on investment. In addition, the U.S. Department of Defense will provide an overview of its RFID-based In-Transit Visibility (ITV) Network, which has increased productivity, reduced cycle times and improved supply chain performance for the DoD.
This year's conference advisory board includes a number of experienced industry veterans and recognized asset management experts, including Tom Coyle, vice president of Mark IV Industries; Douglas Goetz, professor of contract and property management at the Defense Acquisition University; Robert Kaehler, senior vice president at AssetSmart; Paul Nesbitt, executive director of the National Property Management Association; Jeffrey Polyak, vice president of solutions with Sunflower Systems; and Robert Leibrandt, deputy program manager for Unique Identification in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics.
Sponsoring industry associations include the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), the Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility (AIM), and the National Property Management Association (NPMA). ABI Research will also provide input to the conference program as the Research Partner for the event.
