Impinj, a supplier of UHF Gen 2 RFID technologies, has acquired Intel's RFID operation. Financial terms were not disclosed._

According to the company, the acquisition of Intel assets further enhances Impinj's position in the RFID market by adding a proven, high-performance, highly integrated reader radio chip to the Impinj family of UHF Gen 2 RFID products. Impinj will sell the Intel R1000 to other RFID reader manufacturers.
