CheckPoint Systems is acquiring RFID middleware provider OATSystems for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition is expected to complement CheckPoint's merchandise protection and inventory management applications. OATSystems will operate as a division of CheckPoint and will be headed by its current president and chief executive Michael George. CheckPoint will continue to use and develop the OATSystems brand and software platform for the retail, consumer products, life sciences, aerospace, and defense sectors.
